Jordan's Farewell

We got up early and we were on the road by 7 am to get to Sparwood for Jordan's farewell. He is going to Guatemala! It was a fun day.

Long Sunday Walk

I love everything about fall. I love the colours, smells and its new beginnings.  Today I went on a long walk with Chico. My heart was bursting with love for the beauty. I am so blessed to have such a beautiful place to escape to.

Sibling Friendship

I love that these two are such great friends. This is the de-brief session yesterday after Peirce's first day of school and Jill's big shopping trip with a friend. 

First Day of School

 Today was Peirce's first day of grade 9!

Beautiful Library!

Calgary is the home of the first library in Alberta. It is a beautiful building!! I don't go here very often because Calgary loves to charge for parking EVERYWHERE. Tonight though I dropped Jill off for work at Village Ice Cream and thought I'd drive past. I told myself that if I found an easy parking spot I'd stop. It was after 6 pm, so there was no charge for parking...but that usually means no available parking.  Sure enough though, I did! I was so grateful. This place is good for the soul. 

Happy Labor Day!

The kids and I volunteered at the Stampeders football game today. Peirce was was little bored so he started building pizza container structures. Silly boy.

Long Day/Wonderful Admin

It was a rough day. During my morning prep I had a meeting.  After that there were no more preps. Well, during my second Prep we had an assembly. I was on supervision. At the end of the day we had some extra time and I was just worn out. I decided we'd watch a video (an educational one, of course) but I couldn't get the sound to work on my SMART board. I finally resorted to another story (I had read our book of the day earlier). Then, in walked our admin. They had a bucket of flowers and came in to thank me and ask the teachers for all my hard work that week. So nice!! It really lifted my spirits. They are the best!!
