A Rockin' Day!

Today I had a great day out in Kananaskis! It was definitely an adventure. We went out there to hunt for rocks with our students. One of the teachers has a friend that is a geologist and she taught us about different types of rocks, the rock cycle, and the history of the earth in that area. It was fascinating! The fun part was we could find a cool rock, show it to her, and she could tell us what era it was from and about the make up of the minerals in the rock. It was a great day! We had perfect weather for it too.
