This is a hilarious story! We signed it out at the library and while we were waiting for Peirce to catch up Jill read it at the counter and giggled and laughed at the crazy things this girl does (i.e. stpales her brother's hair to the pillow...now she can't use the stapler anymore, reads her brother's fortune and tells him he's going to be eaten by hyennas...now she can't read his fortune anymore, walks backwards to school...etc., etc.)
As we drove home Jill read it to Peirce. He didn't think it was that funny. He doesn't like kids that do things like that.
Sometimes I think that boy is just a little too serious for his own good.
I read a few reviews on this book and they were all 'don't buy it!'. The common concern is this child is one bad role model. Well, they're right...but don't ya' sometimes wish you could have tried a few of those things??? Come on....I know you want to down deep inside!!
...I think it's okay to live life a little vicariously sometimes through crazy girls like the one in this book.
