It seems we pretty much recovered enough to feel like it was okay to make the trek to Raymond for July 1. Jill was still a little blurry eyed and coughing a lot. She enjoyed the parade (watching and being IN it....she jumped on a float with her cousins Zoe and Soleil when they came by) and then slept all afternoon.
Peirce played with a multitude of cousins and second cousins and cousins-once-removed.
Have have a girl named Mar who is staying with us for the month of July. She is from Spain. She came across a crazy Shriner in Raymond!
By the end of the day everyone was really pooped!! Especially Mar and Peirce! Poor Mar is still experiencing jet lag and Peirce, well, Peirce just gets pooped. They were sure cute together in the car!
When we got home Peirce puked (too much parade candy?) and went to bed. You know when you've had enough fun when....Yuck!
I really enjoyed visiting with everyone - all the aunts and uncles and siblings and more. I think I have a new appreciation for family and it makes these kinds of weekends all the more enjoyable.
