Stampede Parade

We got off to a slow start this morning. We were lucky enough to get tickets to the AGF bleachers at the Stampede Parade. Unfortunately we were unlucky enough to get on the slowest bus going downtown. A multitude of buses (even buses on the same route!) passed us. Finally we bailed and just hoofed it the rest of the way and made it in time....thank goodness!!

Yup. Here we are, aboard the bus that was able to get downtown slower than any other bus this morning.

This group really got some oohs and aaahs from our kids!

AGF had a hot breakfast for us and snacks all the while we watched the parade. Unfortunately Jill is still not feeling that great and was not exactly social....but the rest of us had a great time!






After we stopped for something to eat. Our plan was to wait out the crowds a little bit. It didn't quite work...the bus was still more jam-packed than we were comfortable with....I think next year we'll drive!

By the end of it all we were all really tired. Jill slept the rest of the afternoon (I sure hope she gets better soon!) and the rest of us caved. Maybe it's the cowboy boots that are the root of it all. Truthfully, cowboy boots don't even look that good. They just hurt!
