When Mom Isn't Totally On Her Game

So, today, I pack a lunch for Peirce for Park and Play and I'm telling him what's in his lunch. He looks it over and says, "Well, I've seen better from you."

Stampede Parade

For a number of years we've received tickets to the Stampede Parade from fund companies that Allen does business with. Apparently the Stampede Parade was one of those things that got nixed from budgets this year, which caused a bit of a dilemma. We've lived here for 25 years or so and have NEVER curbed it!! This was our big chance at the experience (she said trying to be as positive as possible), so I got up at 6 am and headed downtown at 6:30....only to find out I was late!! After a bit of searching though and sweet-talking of security guards, we found ourselves a spot and I parked myself and waited for the rest of the gang to arrive. Allen went home and got everyone ready and then his brother came and picked them up and the fun began!! The parade was quite a lot of fun. Who doesn't love a parade?!

Happy Canada Day!

This morning we celebrated Canada Day by having breakfast at our friend's, The Hawryluk's. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and were especially glad for the great weather!
