Peirce loves reading...but mostly he loves ME to read to him. I have been trying to make a transition to him doing more reading by trying to get him to follow along when I read. I think I found a great trick for that! Tonight we read a Robert Munsch book - which is funny by itself - but I kept changing words..and at first he didn't notice...but soon he realized I was making mistakes. He took great pleasure in correcting me. Soon he was watching like a hawk.
I think we might be on to something!

David didn't like to read, because of his Irlen I think, but wanted the stories. (We actually read Lord of the Rings Trilogy to him when he was 8.) We made him take turns with us reading, although his turns were much shorter than ours.
