School Council

Tonight was our first School Council meeting of the year. I am so proud of myself!! I retired from my position on School Council. At first no one was stepping up saying they'd be willing to do it - so the chair moved on to other things, and then later in the meeting someone finally said that they'd probably be able to take over for me. I was so glad!! I would have continued on and done it if no one else had - but I'm really happy to have someone else step in.

The other things I came away with from the meeting is that I'm really glad I'm not teaching. Sometimes I think that perhaps it would makes sense to go back to teaching now that Peirce is in school all day. However, I sure wouldn't want to be dealing with all the parent issues that seem to come up in a school! I'm afraid I'd have less patience for it all now. LOL I really appreciate teachers and principals for all they do....and I'll certainly be less critical now that I've listened to some of the beefs other people have brought up. :0)

....and I'm going to really try hard to make sure I am not one of 'those' parents!! LOL

It was interesting in our meeting when the Chair was explaining the difference between school council and the 'society' portion of the meeting. She said that the first part is the boring stuff and the society stuff is the fun part. Interesting thing is I think it's the other way around! I endure the fundraising stuff....and would much rather talk about educational matters!

Hey Dawn,

Just a quick question, I have friend who is looking to work from home, does your company have any current openings for a stay home mom?
Thanks!
