Slave Labor

This house has been cleaned by unpaid child labor! ....and we're proud of it :)

Actually, this has been one of the hardest things for me since teaching full time - figuring out how to still fit in all the things that have to be done at home. The truth is, I can't fit it all in. I need help. Figuring out how to get these kids in gear to be helpers has been a process....but I think we're finally getting it! I have found if I can get them to do two chores a day it makes all the difference. The trick is making sure they do it! Maybe, just maybe one day this will come naturally. One thing I do know for sure is that for a lot of years they haven't had to do a lot around here.

Times are a changing baby!

I think one of the benefits of mom's working is that it ensures that husbands and kids get to help out. For us it has been the husband more than the kids. Andrew is head in charge of laundry and that is such a blessing to me. I need to get the kids involved more too - it is just so labour intensive at first...good job.
